Mishima is a fiery post-bop composition written by tenor saxophonist David Schnitter and recorded by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers during their European sessions in late 1978.

With tight horn arrangements, driving swing, and Blakey’s signature explosive drumming, the track showcases the group’s dynamic sound during their Timeless Records period. Recorded on December 4, 1978, and released on the album Reflections in Blue, it remains a standout example of Blakey’s late-'70s revival of the Messengers legacy.
